First up, “Chorus Gulls”. I smile every time I see this photograph. It is hung at the foot of my bed so I can smile before I go to sleep, and smile as soon as I wake. Easily amused I guess. But come on … I saw you smile.

It was a cold first day of the year and I took a quick drive to the ocean to revel in the intensity of a stormy day on the coast. It turned out to be only cold and little rainy, enough to bring the sea gulls down to the tidal flats of the bay. The gulls happily lined up for me so I could include them in a fun and elegantly abstract design.
